"I had an awesome childhood," Dustin says. "The kind a lot of people wish they had."

But when Dustin was 16, it all changed. His parents divorced and his father passed away. Severely depressed and desperate for relief, he dropped out of school and started using drugs to fog his memories. Soon he began manufactring meth to support his growing addiction. That destructive decision led to violence, crime and danger that not only impacted his own life, but threatened his loved ones as well.

Finally he was arrested and sent to prison . . . for 13 years.

Then, in 2016, he went before the parole board. They asked him why he should be released and what he wanted to do. "I just want my life back," he told them.

Now, thanks to your support of our Christ-centered programs, Dustin's life is being restored at Hope Ministries.

In our long-term life recovery program, he dedicated his life to the Lord. "Being obedient to Him and following His direction, His guidance and His actions--it's all laid out for me," he says.

Dustin is participating in classes and work skills training. He's growing in faith and maturity. He's also regaining his family's trust. In other words, Dustin has his life back. "Coming here was the best decision I ever made," he says.
