We need volunteers to help us out as we serve and deliver around 2,000 meals on Easter Sunday!
Here's how you can help:
Serve on site--We need volunteers to help package and serve meals at our Hope Cafe on Easter morning. On-site volunteers must be 13 or older. The time commitment is 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Deliver meals around Des Moines--Serving as a driver team is a great opportunity for families with younger children, church groups and other teams of people willing to deliver meals around the Des Moines area. You'll need a larger vehicle and some form of GPS, and you should be comfortable praying with others. The time commitment is 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
To sign up for either of the above opportunities, please fill out our
online registration form.
Donate food--We're collecting food donations on Saturday, April 15, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at our Bethel Mission ministry center (1310 6th Avenue in Des Moines). Here are our most-needed items:
- Ready-to-serve dinner rolls
- Cookies in baggies (two per baggie)
- Ground beef, pork loin, bacon, ham
- Milk, cheese, eggs, butter
- #10 cans of green beans or mixed veggies
- Salad dressing (e.g. ranch, French, Italian)
